Dental Nursing



Our Level 3 qualification is recognised for registration with the General Dental Council and is an essential requirement for dental nurses. At Shape you will receive high quality training & gain practical experience in a local dental practice.
Duties include:
- Supporting the dentist & making the patient comfortable.
- Preparing instruments and materials for dental procedures & assisting with x-rays.
- Maintaining a high standard of infection control & health & safety.
- Making appointments & taking payments
Qualifications
- City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing
On completion of your Level 3 you will be a qualified Dental Nurse. You may also progress onto higher education (via an access course) to study Dental Hygiene, Dental Therapy and other courses.

ENGLISH & MATHS
Depending on your previous grades you may need to study English and Maths. These are essential skills that all employers value. Your facilitator can answer any questions you have regarding this.
