Shape Training is the training arm of Cleveland Youth Association which is a very well established organisation, which has provided guidance, advice and support to young people across the Tees Valley in a variety of ways since 1973. Cleveland Youth Association is a charity and also a company limited by guarantee. It has a Board of Trustees that determine the strategic direction ably assisted by a Chief Executive Officer who manages the strategic and operational aspects on a daily basis.
Shape Training provides young people with training opportunities in Health and Social Care (Care / Childcare and Dental Nursing) Apprenticeships at Level 2 and 3 as well as Study Programmes at Levels 1, 2 and 3. We also offer a Level 2 Work Skills programme for those who are still unsure of what career path they want to take. In addition to the programmes, we offer Functional Skills and GCSE training in maths and English from Entry Level to Level 2.
Shape Training has a very well established staff team in place, is inspected by Ofsted (currently graded 2 –Good with outstanding features) and externally monitored by City and Guilds and AQA where all areas have direct claims status. We holds the Matrix quality standard for Information, Advice and Guidance and are Disability Confident Committed. We also have a thriving DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) agency supporting over 1000 applications per year.
